Science education nurtures students’ curiosity about the world around them, encouraging them to explore, question, and understand natural phenomena. It builds essential skills such as observation, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which enhance learning across all areas of study. Students from prep to year 6 participate in engaging science lessons designed to spark wonder and develop a strong foundation in scientific understanding.
Through our lessons students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge of key scientific concepts in the areas of biology, chemical, physical, and earth and space sciences. Students are encouraged to think critically and are given the freedom to explore questions about the world around them.
Hands-on investigations are an essential part of our program, allowing students to actively engage in science through experiments and STEM challenges. Special events, such as Science Week and incursions with guest scientists, provide further opportunities for students to see real-world science in action.
