Welcome students, families and staff to Carnegie Primary School for 2017. Carnegie Primary School is a growing school with an enrolment this year of about 575 students in 23 classes. Our steadily-growing enrolments allow for greater flexibility, both in staffing and curriculum, while still maintaining a community feel and a sense of belonging for all. We are committed to the development of whole-school effective teaching and learning practices to best support the children in our care. Our vision is to provide an engaging, supportive and inclusive learning environment where children can interact positively in a safe, respectful and cooperative atmosphere.
Term 1 will begin on Wednesday, 1st February and we look forward to welcoming new students, new families and new staff to Carnegie. We especially look forward to that special first day for our new prep students which will be on the following day, Thursday, February 2nd. Until then, enjoy the summer break.
Our school motto is Welcoming, Engaging, Achieving and we always try to live that every day. We promote respect and inclusion as our key values and instil in our students the importance of these as they go about their daily lives and build their relationships. We look forward to a successful new school year in 2017. Good luck, everyone.
